Hardwood House // 3 Bedrooms // 2.5 Bathroom // Timber European-style chalet with artisan feel
Overview
Chalet-style home offering high-quality accommodation. Inspired by the alpine lodges of northern Europe, this stunning home brings shades of the old world to contemporary Daylesford. The residence is made almost entirely of locally sourced timber, crafted to achieve a singular aesthetic that blends the warm comforts of home with its own unique industrial flavour.
The Space
Potted plants dot the home, perched on tables, cabinets, sink-tops and in corners, bringing a lush green contrast to the otherwise dark palette. The substantial living room is also kitted out with a large TV.
The kitchen is beautifully equipped, coming with a large Smeg cooker and Miele dishwasher. Dark bench-tops and sleek, white cupboard doors keep the space modern and functional.
The home’s cosy palette really shines in the bedrooms, where the robust browns are paired nicely with tasteful grey bedspreads. Bedding itself comes in the form of 3 king beds which can be split upon request. Two of the bedrooms are en-suited by equally fashionable bathrooms. One of the en-suites boasts a large, deep bath, perfect for relaxation. The home’s sturdy construction and thorough insulation go well with the central heating and split-system cooling, ensuring an ideal temperature year-round.
Hardwood House features two outdoor spaces, one adjacent to the master bedroom and the other off the main dining area. The second has a lounge setting nestled in the shade of the home’s beautiful garden.
