Immerse yourself in nature's magic, the sounds of rustling trees, the laughing Kookaburras and Kangaroos to greet you every morning. Rediscover the senses and surprises hidden under gum trees. The house is at one with garden, bringing the outside in. Luxuriate in an outdoor tub with hot and cold running water. The front and back verandahs capture the morning and afternoon sun, with the back verandah providing a dining setting for up to ten people.

The living and bedroom windows all look out to the magic of the surrounding landscape. Enjoy a long hot shower on a chilly morning with just a glass wall between you and the garden.
Lorien welcomes you and offers its fully equipped kitchen with a 90cm ILVE Duel Fuel upright cooker, cafe style coffee machine (bring your own coffee) and basic essentials. With free wifi and walking / cycling tracks nearby there is something to keep every member of your group occupied.

The house is kept comfortable year round by an original Ned Kelly wood fire and split system heating/cooling. If you can drag yourself away from this unique retreat, the Daylesford shops, cafes and markets are 5 minute drive away.
Return to the city revitalised and renewed.

All bedrooms have air conditioners which was much appreciated given the hot weather when we stayed. The place is clean and tidy, with a lots of pantry staples & anything needed for cooking. So many places to lay back & chill outside. Scenery was beautiful with lots of birds visiting. Highly recommend & will definitely return.

A perfect spot for our girls weekend away. The house is cozy and equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. We loved waking up to the beautiful gardens and even had a few visits from kangaroos. Would definitely recommend!

Lorien was the perfect getaway. With the beautiful fireplace and quiet bush location, it was a dreamy escape from the city. It has everything you need to cook up a storm or just relax on the couch after soaking in the tub.

This tranquil and beautifully furnished property exceeded our expectations. The large natural gardens attracted several kangaroos in the morning which could be seen from the open glass shower in the downstairs bathroom. The open living space was lovely in front of the wood fireplace. Bedding and bedroom heating were also excellent. We look forward to returning.

Lorien is simply beautiful. The house is well appointed, comfortable and exudes a feeling of relaxed country living at its best. The well maintained and beautiful gardens are full of birdlife and native animals. It has a sense of space, privacy and serenity. My family enjoyed every minute of our four days there, lounging around, reading, eating, catching up and generally not doing much at all. A lovely spot, with an easy drive to Daylesford cafe's and shops that was no trouble at all. It you want a bit of space & a dose of nature, this place is perfect.

A truly magical space. The house is set on a tranquil, large and private block a 5-7min drive from Daylesford. We were greeted each morning by kangaroos! Inside, the layout is clean, modern and incredibly liveable. We wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely stay again when we visit next.
